A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a FTSE100 IT Organisation with an enviable reputation in their marketplace. This role will be Home Based with Travel. Your role will cover: Assist in the construction of the business architecture of a project or a business area of a programme. Have an appreciation of the vision, strategy, challenges and complexities of the business and be able to relate these to the business architecture. Be responsible for recording the business needs of their clients and stakeholders, to determine solutions to business problems. Elicit, analyse, validate and document business, organisational and operational requirements. Assist in identifying and defining the current business issues and problems. Act as a bridge between the client, the stakeholders and the solution team. Co-operate with all solution team members of a programme to achieve the successful delivery of the proposed business solution. Assist in identifying, understanding and managing risk to the business, and raise strategies to mitigate that risk. Document the business risks, dependencies and issues that are identified, and to document the impact that these may have on the project. Understand and work towards the defined benefits of the project or programme Identify where a technical solution contravenes a defined business requirement or benefit. Promote the business analysis programme standards, policies and guidelines. Perform peer reviews, audits, standards compliance checks and due diligence as required. Essential Experience/Skills: Typically between 2 and 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst. Knowledge of methodologies in the current marketplace. Knowledge of architectural principles and techniques. Practical use of one or more CASE tools. Experience of working on competitive bids. Experience of working on a large development project. Desired Experience/Skills Would expect to be educated to degree level however appropriate experience is more important than formal qualifications. Personal Attributes Understands business problems and how to apply a logical, systematic approach to arrive at a solution. Good Communicator able to reduce complex ideas to simple terms and express these to both a non-technical and technical audience. Has a knowledge of the current technical market and trends and is able to interpret this knowledge into opportunities for the business.
