Oracle Business Intelligence OBI Consultant - base sites UK wide Experienced hybrid technical and business consultant with strong technical, business, process and communication skills is required to join a fast growing Oracle Business Intelligence team within the clients Oracle Solution Centre to help grow the BI service line, specifically focusing on Oracle and Siebel. The primary role is to take responsibility for managing Oracle BI projects with correct design standards, governance and process. Increasingly Oracle/Siebel programmes span geographic borders and include Rightshore delivery, and it is therefore important that the candidate has experience of managing and working with dispersed and multi-disciplinary delivery teams and international resources. In addition, the role encompasses pre-sales responsibilities including the development of winning propositions for clients to meet business requirements. This Oracle BI Consultant would work within the BI service line of the Oracle Solution Centre. They would be responsible for Delivery of strong innovative solutions that satisfy customersand#x2019; business requirements while meeting professional build and documentation standards and associated methodologies. This person would be responsible for keeping up to date with the latest technology, building the BI service line, motivating team members and evangelising about business intelligence and how it can be used to meet business requirements and to build business cases. Business Intelligence is seen as a business tool to drive commercial value rather than a technical end it itself and this person must drive this message out to the various communities. This person would need to become seen as an authority in Oracle BI and would need to build strong relationships internally and externally. The person would be responsible for sales campaigns and working on proposals and points of view that would close opportunities and deliver new leads. The key responsibilities of the job will include: and#x2022; Defining BI project team approach and structure and#x2022; Definition, scoping, planning and estimating of the BI technical elements of one or more projects and#x2022; Project structuring and#x2022; Feasibility studies and business case development and#x2022; Rightshore engagement and management and#x2022; Working with Siebel/Oracle E-Business suite as a source system and#x2022; Roll-out design and management and#x2022; Proposal Development and#x2022; Developing strong relationships with colleagues, Oracle and partners and#x2022; Demonstrating thought leadership in Oracle BI and all aspects of BI Person profile - essential skills and qualifications Technical and Delivery and#x2022; Experience in Siebel Analytics in tool configuring repositories, web-catalogues, Answers, Delivers, customisations, enhancements, professionalisation of UI (stand-alone or pre-built analytics) solutions or similar systems and tools. and#x2022; Knowledge with Oracle e-Business Suite and / or Siebel is preferred. and#x2022; Knowledge of OBIEE is definitely key differentiator. and#x2022; Know-how Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, database and#x2013; MUST. and#x2022; Oracle BI analytics with Oracle DBI (financial or any other EBS module) and#x2013; considered. and#x2022; Performance tuning skills on database, BI Analytics and#x2013; an advantage. and#x2022; Full life-cycle project experience required and experience of managing teams. and#x2022; Desire to learn new technologies and stay current with evolving BI offerings. and#x2022; User and admin skills within Oracle BI suite and#x2013; an advantage. and#x2022; Knowledge of Siebel/Oracle Analytics 7.8 and above and#x2013; required. and#x2022; Ensure that pre-built dashboards/report components are configured and deployed to meet the required business needs. and#x2022; Understanding of data warehousing and database concepts. and#x2022; Experience in creating and following delivery methodologies for documentation, build and testing standards. Communication / softer skills and#x2022; Ability to communicate complex ideas to different types of audiences in a clear and concise manner and#x2022; Ability and experience in business analysis and requirements gathering and the guiding of end users requirements to a strong innovative solution that meets business needs and#x2022; Self starting and highly motivated with excellent commutation skills and the ability to motivate others not part of the same team and#x2022; Ability to and experience of working in a matrix management structure. Commercial / Business and#x2022; Experience and good understanding of the commercial aspects of consulting and project management and#x2022; Ability to sell and create business plans, follow plans and to create points of view/sales concepts and#x2022; Display strong credibility and knowledge of the technical and business concepts involved in BI and#x2022; Ability to and experience of developing leads into sales and#x2022; Ability to generate sales leads and#x2022; Ability to build a network and to build business relationships quickly The salary is negotiable (dependent on experience) and you can be based from any UK site.
