Job Title: Technical Architect - Unix and Storage - hertfordshire
Job Description: Infrastructure Technical Architect required for a market leader with an outstanding service reputation. This role is to lead the high-level and detailed technical design and be the technical/design authority for Unix systems and Storage. Within the role you will be responsible for: * Defining the technical, functional and non-functional requirements for all Unix systems and storage * Providing project support to development and support teams * Working with business and application stakeholders to design data models * Undertaking continual design, performance and technical reviews * Delivering to demanding timescales * Providing a long-term strategic vision for Platform and Storage environments You must be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in a demanding, high-availability environment, across the following: Solaris 8, 9, 10, x86 ~ SUN Cluster F15K/F25K, M5000 ~ EMC Symmetrix and Clariion Range ~ HDS ~ Brocade Switches ~ Solaris DiskSuite ~ Veritas Netbackup ~ VMWare ~ Blade technology Experience of large-scale storage migrations (preferably with Open Replicator technology) would be an advantage.
