A Head of Global z/OS Platforms/Head of Global Mainframe Platforms is required to join a leading Financial Services institute with a proven brand. This is an excellent opening for experienced Mainframe technology leaders who have proven experience within a similar Head of role where you will have been accountable for Enterprise Global Mainframe platforms including z/OS. On a day-to-day basis the role holders responsibilities will include but not be limited to: taking ownership and full accountability for all Mainframe services and their availability to the business, develop and deliver a world class strategic roadmap for the z/OS Mainframe team and its technology, maintain a current and advanced knowledge of the Mainframe industry, create strong business cases to influence senior Business and Technology stakeholders to implement mainframe transformation programmes, take line management responsibility for 5 - 10 direct reports and up to 150 - 2000 divisional reports, t aking Profit and Loss responsibility for a 40million+ budget, owning stakeholder relationships that are pivotal to the divisions long-term success and be an active member of the extended Platforms Leadership Team. Interested candidates will need to have a strong technical background within mainframes while possessing an excellent understanding of technology markets and major vendor strategies specific to the field of mainframes. You will have demonstrable expertise to lead large teams through change and deal with ambiguity.
