SQL Server DBA Database Administrator sought by client based near Sutton on the London Surrey border. I am seeking an experienced SQL Server Technical Support person with solid DBA and#x2013; Database Administration and shell scripting experience gained within a Windows Server and Linux environments. This role covers a number of technologies and so any experience of Oracle and server technologies (e.g. AS400 HP or IBM) as well as Accounts / Finance systems support gained in a ITIL environment would be of benefit. This role would suit an experienced DBA, Technical Support Specialist, Database specialist or Systems Administrator who is seeking a career move to build on their solid SQL Server skills. I must stress that the key skills / experience cover SQL Server 2005, Windows Server 2003 / Linux Redhat and scripting covering VB Script and Linux based Scripting and#x2013; Perl, Korn, Bash. You will be working heavily in an IBM server environment so any IBM SAN or AS 400 skills will be a bonus. This is a key role and you will cover all aspects of Database Administration within a team environment and will also cover systems administration and disaster recovery. This includes involvement with of complex projects involving in depth risk assessments. This will stretch your SQL Server expertise and allow you to gain The scope of this SQL Server DBA Database Administrator is wide ranging and we are seeking candidates with full project lifecycle experience from initial idea conception through production and testing into implementation and support. As such this role calls for dependable multitasking and time management skills and is best suited to an outgoing SQL Server Database Administrator with excellent interpersonal skills who works well under pressure.
